Neil wanted to tour the new Dallas stadium. Everyone in Texas calls it "Jerry's House". It was pretty nice.
Neil was just overwhelmed in the pro shop. He didn't know what to do with himself he was so excited!
The were setting up for some boxing match so the field wasn't down. The screen in the middle is massive! The little Mitsubishi sign at the top is 5 feet tall. Our tour guide told us that most people end up watching the game on the screen, not the field.
This is the only picture I have of Dan and Ashley together. She is very sweet and we really like her!
The locker rooms were pretty nice. Apparently Jerry ordered some special wood from Africa for the lockers.
This is the tunnel the Cowboys run out from. It goes from the locker room to the field. It goes right through a sports bar area. You have to have tickets to one of the sweets in order to even go down there.
Next we went to Dealy Plaza where JFK was shot. The 'x' in the street is supposedly the exact spot where he was when the deadly shot occurred.
The next day Dan took us down to San Antonio for the day. We went to the Alamo first. It is kind of weird to see this old looking military fort in the middle of the city. And it's pretty small.
Then we took in the river walk. Pretty neat.
In San Antonio they have a tour they build for one of the world's fairs called the Tour of Americas. It reminded Neil and I of the Space Needle. You can go up to the top and get a good view of San Antonio. At the bottom they have a 4-D ride called the Skies of Texas. It was very similiar to Soarin over California. I loved it!
