On Thursday, we took the train from Durango to Silverton and back. It was a beautiful ride! It was somewhat long...3.5 hours one way. Haley did great, she had her moments, but everyone in our car was impressed with her.

Haley would walk up the aisle and make friends. All the "old people" loved her! We were by far the youngest people on the train!
But she did not make friends with the conductor!
She wasn't quite sure what to do when the train started moving.
The swaying of the car lulled her to sleep.
Haley loved to stick her head out the window.
She fought it hard, but eventually fell asleep on the way home.
We had a bit of a delay on the way home. Apparently, the train would start little grass fires since it was so dry. Then we would have to stop and make sure it was out before we could move on.
This is how she passed the time...taking out all her snack and then putting it back in.
What a sweetie!
So it looks like 'Mom' fell asleep too! Haley must not have slept long ~ didn't want to miss the excitement with all those old people1
ReplyDeleteNo, I did not fall asleep. I was trying to get my head out of the way of the picture! And you are correct...Haley did not sleep long. She woke up when we stopped for the fire.
